ago I have recently started using SuperSlicer from Cura and have come across a number of issues. Filament diameter is set to 1.75 and my filament measurements are exactly 1.75. This is also something we're aware of, please check #8578.Īnyway, since classic perimeter generation is still a feature in PS, we will probably keep this issue open until we can improve on it. It's because your nozzle diameter is too big to fill that gap, so the slicer rather leaves a gap, than making a hump and potentionally ruining the print, or in best case scenario makes it aesthetically ugly DWO 2 yr. Extrusion multiplier for three-perimeter, 0.7mm extrusion width is spot on at 1.93mm. Be careful, since a huge gap could lead to bridging problems. If you increase that gap slightly, the support material will be less strongly bonded to the part. Somewhere in the full Preferences menu is a setting for 'gap at top' or equivalent wording. Good exterior surface finish though compared to the lumpiness I got with gap fill. Cura has some settings for the support structure which may help. Highlited are nominal wipe lines (green) on parameter and brim and the short wipe lines on gap fill (red). The screenshot attached is from layer 85. When wiping after printing a gap fill line, the wiping length is shortened to the length of the last gap fill section. I print a thin-walled tube with Arachne and end up with two perimeters that don't touch each other when printed, and the whole thing crumbles when squeezed. The wiping length usually results from the retraction time and the wiping speed. Please refer to #8443, #8512, #8686 and #8841 (we will close some of these soon to keep discussion to one thread). We are currently working on seam placement when using Arachne, so this should be fixed soon. I use this for work so unfortunately the aesthetics matter. The ring of ripples on the part from overzealous gap fill is gone, but features that formerly came out crisp are a little rougher this time around. Just tried a print Arachne has already fucked up my seam placement (I selected “rear” but got diagonal) and seems to have poorer dimensional stability. There should also be a setting to indicate what to fill, for instance 'Fill gaps that are at least 70 the nozzle width', this should allow us to filter minute gaps that doesnt make sense to fill and would result in moves that actually affect print quality (like printing 3 walls with 0.5mm nozzle and the slicer tries to fill some minute gap in.
